MEASURE FOR MEASURE
This Shakespearean play is about justice and morality in Vienna. When the Duke leaves town, she puts Lord Angelo in charge, who enforces strict laws against immoral behavior. Claudio is arrested for getting his fiancée, Juliet, pregnant before marriage and is sentenced to death. His sister, Isabella, pleads for his life but faces a moral dilemma when Angelo offers to spare Claudio in exchange for her virginity. As the Duke, disguised as a friar, observes the unfolding events, he devises a plan to expose Angelo's hypocrisy and restore order. The play explores themes of justice, mercy, and the complexities of human nature.
